What are the biggest challenges for independent newsrooms today? Which business models and revenue streams work? And how can the sector be supported to become more sustainable? With the Journalism Value Project, we aim to find that out. This project is by and for independent media, as a collaboration between Netzwerk Recherche and Reference, a network of European independent public interest media. Through research, discussion and collaboration we want to support European independent media to better convert their public value into financial value. Join this participatory session to get involved! Hear the first public findings of the Journalism Value Survey, the most in-depth survey of the state of independent media in Europe to-date. And then join the discussion, as we facilitate break-out groups to gather your insights on the challenges and opportunities for sustaining independent public interest media today.
